Insights into the Hemp Industry

MHIRA is a leading research association in the Malaysian hemp industry since 2015 among local communities and represents its first presentation at World Hemp Congress held at Slovenia in 2016.  Since its establishment as an official organisation under Registry of Society Malaysia, MHIRA had opened up opportunities among Malaysians in striving Sustainable Development Goals by educating and creating leaders for tomorrow which focusing on Green Technologies and Industrial Hemp.  MHIRA was among the organisation in Asia to support the international affiliation by Linking Cannabis Hemp and SDGoals 2030 beginning in Vienna Austria in the year 2018.

This forum is dedicated to MHIRA members which intended to provide awareness and education on SDGoals and the insights into the hemp industry.  We invite NGOs, companies, foundations, government agencies and related ministries for their contribution to the development and development of our country.  We wish to provide information and knowledge to the general public about the role of MHIRA under the national development efforts and SDGoals 2030.

In empowering towards more progressive country commodity and to become a new vessel for sustainability as well as fostering self-reliance and good management practices and the ability to continually maintain the programs and services provided; and to increase the understanding of all relevant members from all range involvement in the direction of the hemp industry in Malaysia and its use in the eco-friendly construction and nutrition industries to form a progressive and healthy country without neglecting the interests and contributions of the people.  Participants will explore into a broad perspective of how the natural fibre industry can become a green commodity for Malaysia.  Also some experiences and way forward towards Natural Fiber Industry for Malaysia.

MHIRA also hopes that by attending this forum, you will gain greater exposure towards SDGoals and the direction of the hemp industry and its use in various related industries throughout the forum.
